At CommunityOne today, OpenSolaris 2009.06 was released. I have just installed it on my brand new Acer Inspire One. The poor litle netbook had to survive three suffering hours running Windows, but now it finally has a proper operating system 🙂

The only issue I have had so far was that suspend did not work out-of-the-box for my Acer Aspire One. But after a little googling, I found out that you only have to add the following line to your /etc/power.conf file:
S3-support enable
Now it works fine!
